HOME AT LAST

Israel Defense Forces soldier Gilad Shalit arrived at an Israel Air Force in central Israel on Tuesday, where he reunited with his family for the first since being released from Hamas captivity and met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as well as Defense Minister Ehud Barak.

Meeting Shalit after the Israeli soldier arrived at the Tel Nof IAF base, Netanyahu said: “Hello, Gilad. Welcome back to Israel. It’s so good to have you home.”

Malnutrition? He looks like a Holocaust survivor!

(I can't believe there are commenters at Huffpoo who are comparing Gaza to "The Warsaw Ghetto." I don't recall that the Germans released 1,027 Jews from the concentrations camps in order to get back one young Wehrmacht recruit who was held by the partisans for 6 years.)

It's an ridiculous comparison to say the least. I am glad Shalit is home though for his and his family sake.
